The 5 Most Important Things You Must Know About AdSense
Thursday, May 31, 2007Whether you're just starting out with AdSense or whether you've been using it for years, the success of your ads will depend on knowing five absolutely essential pieces of information about AdSense:
1. AdSense Can Make You A Huge Heap Of Cash Lots of people make the mistake of believing that AdSense is only good for bringing a site a few extra pennies a month. Wrong! AdSense can fund your lifestyle - if you get it right.
2. Junk Sites Get Junk Income But just because it's possible for a site to make a lot of money with AdSense, it doesn't mean that any site can make a lot of money with AdSense. Your site must have good content that can attract users on its own merit. There are a lot of different strategies available for producing good content for your site. You'll need to use them if you want to create the sort of site that makes real money.
3. Your Choice Of Ads Matter One of the first things that you'll have to do when you join AdSense is to pick the types of ads you want to display. Success relies on following certain principles that encourage users to click and persuades them that they've got a reason to do so. You'll need to know those principles.
4. You Can Influence The Ads You Receive! Here's a little known AdSense secret: you do have some control over the ads that get served on your site. That control isn't unlimited - but it is worth exercising. It's also a little complicated but it's got a lot do with keyword hotspots located in each Web page. (I explain it all in my book, Google AdSense Secrets.) That's definitely something you need to know!
5. Your Stats Are Your Best Friend The stats you get with your AdSense account might look complicated and well, a bit dull... but they're packed with useful information that can have a massive effect on your revenues. To make real money with AdSense, you need to know what your stats are telling, what they're not telling you and where you can find out more.
There's a lot you need to know to make serious money with AdSense. If you're missing that information, you're just throwing money away.

How to get links to your site
Thursday, May 31, 2007That’s why you need to know about links. They’re what guide users from one Web site to another. And just as important, links are what search engines such as MSN Search/Windows Live Search, Google, and Yahoo use to determine how popular your Web site is, and where to place it in their page rankings.
It may go without saying that the higher your Web site’s page ranking appears on a search engine, the more prospective customers are going to see it.
It gets a bit more complicated because there are different kinds of links, different ways to obtain them, and some rules to follow if you want the search engines to select your Web site.
A couple of things are critical:
* Quality content on your Web site will help generate quality links.
* Follow the rules, because search engines can ban your Web site if they don’t like what they see.

Making Public Service Ads Serve You
Wednesday, May 30, 2007Making huge sums of money with AdSense isn't brain surgery. You simply have to know what you're doing. If you know which types of ads to choose, where to place them on the page and how to use Google's options to design them so that they get the maximum number of click-throughs, you should find your site earning heaps of money very quickly.
But things can go wrong. Revenues can be disappointing, clicks non- existent and pages designed to put off users instead of encourage them to check out your advertisers. You know when one of the worst things possible has gone wrong when, instead of seeing ads on your page, you get public service ads. These turn up when Google doesn't recognize your keywords or can't find a suitable ad to put on your Web page. Instead of showing a blank box, it puts up ads for all sorts of charities, none of which you choose - and none of which earn you revenue.
You might like the idea of your site working for charity. But you might like it better if your site worked for you and you decided how much of that revenue to give to the charities you choose. That's why smart AdSense subscribers - the ones who understand how AdSense works and make giant revenues from it - make sure that they have alternatives set up to stop their sites being used to advertise Google's favorite charities.
There are lots of different ways you can do that. For example, you could create your own pseudo-AdSense ads and use those as alternate URLs to promote your other sites. Or you could use one of the several companies that will use that space to give you targeted paying ads.
There's nothing mean about using these strategies. The fact that Google makes it possible to use them shows that they understand that your space is for you not for them - and that you should earn from it.
With a little bit of reading, you'll find that it's easy to create a website that always serves high-paying AdSense ads. But even the smartest AdSense users make sure that they've got insurance should something go wrong. It's easy to do and your revenues deserve it.

Great Content - The Secret Of High AdSense Revenues
Tuesday, May 29, 2007There are two ways to think about AdSense: you can think of it as a way to use your website to make money; and you can think of it as a way to make money with a website.
What's the difference?
The difference is in the content. In the first case, you already have a website and you simply put AdSense on the page to turn it into cash. You might change the content a little to influence the ads and you could make sure that you include the best keywords to bring you the highest revenues. You should certainly play with the way the ads look on the page to make them attractive and unobtrusive - and there's a huge range of different strategies you can use to do that.
Ultimately though, the content is there already. You're just using AdSense to turn the content you're going to create anyway into money - and you're going to use AdSense secrets to make those revenues as high as possible.
But lots of people also want to build a website from scratch for the sole purpose of cashing in on all the money available through AdSense. There's nothing wrong with that - provided the content is high quality.
This is crucial. Google doesn't take kindly to sites packed with keywords and all sorts of other garbage just to provide a space to put up an AdSense unit. There's a good chance they won't approve the site, and little chance, even if they did, that you'd get any click-throughs.
But that doesn't mean you have to really bust a gut to create the sort of website that brings you a small fortune in AdSense revenues. In my book, Google AdSense Secrets, I discuss in detail a number of different methods that you can use to create great content quickly and easily. Some of these methods cost a little money; some are completely free and still give you outstanding content. Whichever method you use though the important to remember is that your site has to have real content that people will genuinely enjoy reading. There's no point in trying to cut corners in creating content - and absolutely no revenue to gain.

Can You Choose Your AdSense Ads?
Tuesday, May 29, 2007AdSense delivers great click-throughs and high revenues for one reason: the ads are targeted to what the user wants. Google's robot picks out keywords on your page, gets a grip on what your website is about and delivers links that take users to sites that interest them.
That's great news... up to a point. As much as you want your users to click on ads that look interesting, you might not want to trust to a robot to pick those ads - and you might prefer to have ads on your page that pay the highest amount possible for each click.
But you don't get the choice. You can do lots of things to improve your AdSense revenue, from selecting the layout of your ad unit to choosing the color and size of the font, but one thing you can't do is slip into Google's database and choose the ads. If you could do that, no one would ever choose the low-paying ads.
That doesn't mean you can't do anything at all though. The fact is, some smart publishers have been noticing all sorts of interesting results after playing with their HTML code and changing some of the text on their Web page. And some of those results have been very surprising indeed.
For example, some publishers have found that placing keywords in certain positions on the page can have an immediate effect on the ads served. The owner of a site about recreation vehicles then would be able to do a little research online to find the highest paying keywords in his area and then - if he knew where those hotspots were - he could place those keywords in the right areas on the page. In addition to the usual ads about camper vans and RV's that his site would receive, the publisher could be certain that at least one of the ads was the highest paying possible. That's the sort of knowledge that's worth money in your pocket.
Why some areas of a Web page should be more important than others is a mystery well kept by Google's programmers. But some of Google's ad secrets are leaking out - and they're being snapped up by smart publishers who understand that knowledge and strategy are the key to massive AdSense revenues.

Adlink Units: Are They Worth It?
Monday, May 28, 2007When Google first launched AdSense, there was some skepticism from publishers. As much as most people were blown away by the idea of ads that were targeted to the content of a Web page there was the question of whether users, used to banners and skyscrapers, would click on something that looked so different.
Boy, were those doubters wrong! AdSense has more than proved its worth to advertisers, users and publishers.
A similar sense of skepticism greeted Google's launch of AdLink units. With nothing more than a list of links (which then lead to the ads), these units contain even less information than a traditional AdSense unit. And the user has to click twice before the publisher gets paid. That makes them sound about as welcoming as a winter barbeque in Siberia.
It took a while for publishers to discover that actually AdLink units weren't as bad as they looked, and that with a smart bit of positioning they could actually take advantage of the way some pages are laid out. In fact, for some designs, they were able to reach parts that other AdSense units just couldn't reach!
And best of all, publishers quickly discovered that once someone clicked on an AdLink unit, they would almost always click on the ad that followed. That did their revenues the world of good and removed the two-click doubt.
The old AdLink units then were effective, but fairly limited. They were great if you knew the one or two places on the page to use them but not so good if you didn't. Recently though, Google has launched horizontal AdLink units that have taken these ads into a whole new realm. Because they fit neatly across a page they're useful for a much broader range of page designs and are much more flexible. On the other hand though, they're now competing for space directly with the traditional ad units, making it even harder for publishers to figure out which ads to place where.
Is all this good news for publishers or bad news?
It's great news for savvy publishers who have more tools to maximize their AdSense revenues (and know what to do with those tools) but it's bad news for people who don't make the effort to learn how use AdSense - and now have more ways to miss out.

Google mystery #562!
Friday, May 25, 2007I have always suspected that these two things must count for something when Google asseses the quality score of ads yet, after a bit of flustering, they both insisted that actually the only thing that affected an ads quality score is the click through rate. If this is the case then I could have great, compelling ad copy but a really irrelevant sie and yet Google would still show me higher than other Ads as according to them my ad is more relevant.
Here is the problem. Google's mission has always been to deliver relevant pages to its searches yet its adwords system seems to only focus on delivering relevant advertising copy, completely ignoring the pages that the users click through to. Eithe this is something that Google has genuinely oerlooked or their is something they are not telling us regarding how they rate different ads for fear of exposing this loophole to people wishing to exploit the quality score system i.e f I knew that when people converted on my site I would have to pay less to get my ad shon in a higher position then I would simply place my conversion code in every page thus achieving a 100% conversion (which I recently did accidentally by placing the code in the outerlayout of an Actinic site!)
Food for thought really, but I just think its odd that google should only consider click throughs as relevant when assesing an ads quality...

Top 20 Adsense Tips
Tuesday, May 22, 2007Impression count is basically referring to your traffic. It means the number of times AdSense block is displayed.
Click-through-rate (CTR) is ratio of clicks per impressions. It can range from 0.1% to 30%, but most commonly around 1% to 10%.
Cost-per-click (CPC) is the earning you get per click. While traditionally it refers to the amount advertisers pay for each click, it can also mean the amount publishers get for each click.
Smart-pricing is AdSense method to determine how valuable clicks from your site is worth. If clicks on your site doesn’t provide good value to advertisers, e.g. from visitors’ geo-location that seldom translate to sales, you will only get a fraction of the supposed CPC.
Apply for AdSense account via blogger.com for faster approval.
Once you get your AdSense publisher code, you can put it any of your websites without requiring further approval.
Read and reread Google AdSense Program Policies and Terms and Conditions.
Don’t click on your own ads, or ask people to click, even if you are using proxies.
Don’t use click-bots.
Don’t encourage your visitors to click on ads. The only acceptable text is “Sponsored Links” and “Advertisements”.
Don’t put competitor contextual ads on the same page as your AdSense, for example: Yahoo Publisher Network, Clicksor. Non-contextual ads are ok.
Don’t put your ads on objectionable material, e.g. adult sites, gambling sites, mp3, etc.
Basically, don’t cheat AdSense. Google will catch you, sooner or later.
Viewing your on website will not get you banned. Just make sure you don’t click on the ads.
However, repeatedly reload your page to jack up page impressions can get you banned.
When in doubt don’t hesitate to contact the AdSense team. They are very helpful.

More Freeware SEO Tools
Thursday, May 10, 2007In Part 1 of this article , some of the better, freeware keyword, sitemap and ranking tools available to webmasters were listed. Part 2 covers meta tag generators, link popularity apps, link checkers and general SEO tools. Again, all of these tools can be found in the SiteProNews Webmaster Tools Directory along with new additions as we find them.
Let's start with a look at meta tag generators. Since meta tags lost their SEO relevance several years ago, most of the freeware programs in this category are either no longer supported or haven't been updated for several years. But, then again, not much has really changed in meta tag usage so the apps listed below should still be useful.
Meta Tag Generators
1. BHead 4.1.1 (1.0 MB) is an advanced meta tag generator that can create your entire HEAD section, including CSS style sheets. Generates the code for all popular meta tags and also has an option for custom tags. Keywords and description can be imported from files. Comes with a basic Style Sheet editor that includes a color picker. Other features include spell chëck, search replace, syntax highlighting, etc. For Windows 9x/NT/ME/2K/.
2. Metty Meta Tag Maker 1.31 (2.5 MB) is a meta tag creator with support for 33 meta tags that ensure search engines properly index your website. Easy to use and requires no knowledge of meta tags. For Windows 95/98/ME/2000/XP.
3. Search Engine Buddy 1.0 (2.7 MB) analyzes web page meta tags and web page content on or offline to help you create the best possible meta tag combinations and web page content based on the requirements and algorithms of the major search engines. For Windows 9x/2000/NT.
4. MetaWizard 1.2a (617 KB) is a simple, bare bones meta tag generator that guides you through the process of creating basic tags for your web site pages.
Link Checkers
Where oh where did all the good freeware link checkers go? Well, apparently they went offline with the cos. or individuals that developed them or they went the shareware route. Of the three listed below, CheckWeb is probably the best.
1. CheckWeb 1.23 (74 KB) is a small, powerful links analyzer that can scan online/ offline HTML pages and generate a report on link, error and page size information. For Windows 95 and above.
2. Mihov Link Checker 0.5 (250 KB) can chëck multiple links on a web site or a local web page. It reports the state of each link as valid, missing, forbidden or otherwise not accessible. Links can be stored in a text file or extracted automatically from a local or internet page. For Windows 95/98/ME/NT/2000/XP.
3. SiteLinkChecker 1.0 (480 KB) is an easy-to-use link checker tool that checks websites for broken links. Easily locates broken links and links containing syntactic errors and reports the status of each link. For Windows 2000/XP/2003.
Link Popularity Tools
Another category of programs that has suffered attrition in the last few years. At least half a dozen are no longer available, no longer supported or no longer freeware. The first two are the best of the three listed.
1. Indexa 2.0 (115 KB) is a java website popularity program that reports Google Pagerank, the number of backlinks recorded on Google, Yahoo, MSN, Altavista and AlltheWeb and the number of pages indexed. Limitations: Analyses 4 urls and 2 search engines. For Windows 98/ME/XP/2000/2003/Unix/Linux/MacOS X.
2. Link Popularity Chëck 3.0.3 (941 KB) checks how many sites link to yours and your competitors in 5 major search engines. For Windows XP/Me/NT4/2000/98/95.
3. BackLinks Master 1.5 (1.3 MB) helps you find who is linking to you, whether links are direct and what keywords are in the anchor text. For Windows 98/ME/XP/2000.
General SEO Tools
Last, but not least, are tools that don't fall into any specific category, but that are multi-featured and definitely worth a look.
1. SEO Surf 0.7 (2.6 MB) is a powerful program for SEO enthusiasts. It offers numerous features, including keyword analysis, SEO page analysis, backlink management and search engine analysis. For Windows 98 to XP and I.E. 6.0+.
2. Keyword Crawler 1.1 (424 KB) is a keyword tool that can analyze your website and provide web page reports for the top keywords used, word density, Google pagerank, internal and external backlinks and broken links. In addition, the program can also generate a sitemap file in XML format. For Windows 98/ME/NT4/2Kx/XP.
3. SEO SpyGlass v.2.0.4 (7.8 MB) is a research tool designed to show how your competitors got top search engine rankings. It reveals backlink numbers, the URL, PageRank, Alexa Rank, and IP address of each backlink, website age, link value, backlink origin, keyword density, etc. Detailed reports can be generated but not saved in the freeware version. Requires JRE and email registration. For Windows 98+ and Unix/Linux/MacOS X. The current version is generally available from the SpyGlass site, but the site was experiencing problems at the time of this writing.

JadCare: Statistics monitoring with added sense
Tuesday, May 08, 2007One of the biggest tips that any successful AdSense publisher will give you is "Play around with the placement of your ads". Don't just be satisfied with a dollar here and another dollar there, if you've never put much thought into where your ads should go then you can definitely earn much more.
One sure fire way to fine tune your earnings (as well as keeping your site visitors on the ball) is to test-out various placements, logging your results as you go along. Many AdSense publishers create a so-called AdSense journal for their logging of placement types but the problem with that method is that all you can know from your Google AdSense stats is the amount of clicks throughout the day and the channel for which the clicks were associated.
What you do not know is where these adverts exactly were (ie; which page), which colour scheme the ads were and their dimensions, who clicked them, where the visitor was who clicked the ad, how they found your site (ie; direct hit, search engine, what they searched for in the search engine, referral page and domain etc.), even which clicks were Link unit clicks and which were AdSense Ad clicks, until now that is.

How articles are replacing SEO and adsense campaigns
Tuesday, May 08, 2007That you generate the traffic is called promotion and marketing.
http://www.viralarticlemarketingsecrets.com/main.php "Two of the most important elements of getting high search engine rankings are to have fresh targeted content and to have links from other sites pointing to your site. The search engines believe that if your site has a lot of links pointing to it from other sites that your site must be important for that topic and places your site higher in their rankings.
By writing articles you can create both elements at the same time. A new article provides fresh targeted content. By learning how to promote your articles to other websites, you will then get one way links to your site.
So if you were writing and promoting an article a week, you train the search engines to visit your site once a week looking for updates. Your fresh content will be given priority in search results over older material from other stagnant sites."

Are you keeping an Adsense Journal?
Monday, May 07, 2007And that, I think, is the biggest AdSense secret — or at least, the one that most people just zip right past.
Yes, they optimize their ads and they follow their stats and they bring in traffic and they produce high quality content.
But half the time, they’ve got no idea what exactly each change they’re making is doing to their CTR or their revenues.
That’s because they don’t keep an AdSense journal.
I know... you probably haven’t kept a journal since you were forced to do it in fifth grade. But when I created AdSense Buddy, the element that I was most proud of was the in-built journal. It just makes it so easy to follow what you’re doing.
You don’t have to use the AdSense Buddy if you don’t want to. (Although you certainly should — it’s FREE after all.) But you should definitely be keeping an AdSense journal.
It’s very easy. All you have to do is write down the change that you’ve made, the date you made it and track the result for a week. It’s the only way to know what exactly the effect of any adjustment you make is having, and which are the best strategies for your particular site.
The downside of this though is that you can only make one change at a time. That’s going to slow you down but if you put in more than one change, you can’t be sure which of those strategies is affecting your CTR.
The only way to speed things up is to implement different changes on different websites or web pages at the same time. As long as you have the previous stats for those pages and sites so that you can make comparisons, you should be able to pick up some useful data very quickly.
I don’t know about you but if I were doing that across a dozen or so sites, I’d have trouble remembering which changes I made where. It just underlines the importance of using a journal. I don’t know how anyone can manage without it.

Can Bloggers Make REAL Money?
Friday, May 04, 2007However, you are correct that the majority of folks are not going to make a living from blogs, but that's because they choose not to try, not because they couldn't. If folks focus in on a niche and own it there is a good chance they could make half a living from blogging.
The online advertising market is going to grow to $18.9 billion in 2010 according to some company called Jupiter Research I found on Google. :-)
That means we are going to add $1.5 billion a year in advertising to the Internet. That money needs to go somewhere and I think blogs and citizens media could take 10%-20% of that. Right now the homepages of the big three are sold out at very high rates (Yahoo, AOL, and MSN). There is a major inventory problem on the Internet and the reason that Google has done so well is that they are spreading that money out over hundreds of thousands of sites which carry Google AdSense.
The fact is that the "long tail" of sites is largely unmonetized. Over the next five to 10 years, Google AdSense, Weblogs Inc., Yahoo Publisher Network, AOL's white-labeled version of AdSense, and Microsoft's "AdSense killer" will enable the monetization of a lot of those smaller sites.
Look at MySpace, they are the number two site on the Internet but they are making $13 million a month. They probably have the lowest RPM in the history of the Internet! That means they have a lot of growth ahead of them. Of course, the fact is they moved instant messaging to the Web (talk about back to the future!), which is largely responsible for their page growth. If you took the number of IMs on AIM and [Yahoo Messenger] and put them on the Web, they would be the number one and two sites on the Internet tomorrow... Read more »

The Most Awaited AdSense Release 2007 -- The AdSenseDecoded Project
Thursday, May 03, 2007(PRWEB) April 29, 2007 --Dr Patrick Hillenbrand, an Australian AdSense Expert and his team, is creating shockwaves in the internet marketing community by releasing some groundbreaking AdSense news, powerhouse techniques & winning strategies in the brand new online 'AdSense GPS Roadmap'. Have you for example heard of 'AdSense Brokerage'? If not then read on.
Someone wrote that 'your AdSense business will not be the same after you have visited http://tinyurl.com/23kyc6 that is currently attracting AdSense publishers worldwide'. We concur.
In fact, Patrick Hillenbrand made $10,852 in just the first month using no search engine traffic at all. 'AdSense Decoded' delivers useful comprehensive answers how to instantly achieve sustainable profits from AdSense even without having access to any initial organic traffic.
And as if that is not enough, 'AdSense Decoded' reveals additional AdSense driven revenue streams that easily plug in to any AdSense business to monetize AdSense publishers' pages much further.
This is a brand new concept. It's called 'AdSense Brokerage' (not arbitrage), and it is currently creating a whole new chapter in how to make money with AdSense. 'AdSense Decoded' shows publishers how easy it is to monetize on every single visitor, not just once but multiple times.
Dr Patrick Hillenbrand also validly argues that there is a paradigm shift in AdSense marketing.
- Niche Targeting is out! Lost are those guided in that direction.
He says: Tomorrow's top AdSense earners know that it is far better to target well paying advertisers than high paying ads, as street smart AdSense publishers and advertisers know that supply and demand is everything.
'AdSense Decoded' is advocating a smart strategy: As internet visitors are becoming ever more demanding to be informed and not sold to, gone are the days where an AdSense Publisher could just feed people ads to be clicked on. 'AdSense Decoded' addresses and teaches exactly how these new marketing conditions are best met.
Whether you are new to AdSense or a seasoned publisher 'AdSense Decoded' delivers an invaluable step-by-step video roadmap how to instantly improve your current AdSense earnings by using techniques previously only known to only a handful of top earners, Patrick Hillenbrand included.
If you are in any way working with AdSense you are recommended to check the 'AdSense Decoded' project out today and see for your self what all the fuss is all about.

Blogtimize: Get Higher CTR & earn More!
Wednesday, May 02, 2007Google Adsense blog’s article Blogtimize presents some tips that will help you place the ads on your blogs better and get a higher CTR and earn more money.
Using these images they demonstrate the best position for your ad units. And other notable tips are Choose the right ad formats, Place ads where your readers will notice, Improve targeting and Customize your ad colors.
Improving the CTR Of Your Google Adwords
Wednesday, May 02, 2007As you are aware, Google Adwords is one of the most popular PPC avenues because of several features.
* Low signup cost (only $5)
* Instant activation of your account
* Instant activation of your ad campaign
* Provision to set daily spending limits
As the Click-Through-Rate (CTR) goes up, your ad position improves and Cost-Per-Click (CPC) goes down. This really puts Google Adwords in a different league.
Here are some simple tips to improve your CTR --
1) Specific matching along with broad matching
Generally when you want to advertise for, say, online dating, you put online dating in the keywords list. I suggest that you all of these in the keywords list -
* [online dating]
* "online dating"
* online dating
This way, when a searcher types just online dating, the click is credited to the 1st keyword. If the searcher types a keyphrase including online dating in that order but as part of a bigger term like free online dating, it is credited to the 2nd keyword. And if both online and dating are present but not together and in that order, like online singles dating, it is credited to the 3rd keyword.
This improves the CTR for certain specific keywords and helps to lower your CPC and also improves your ad position.
2) Use a variable title
Did you know that your clickthrough rate (CTR) goes up when the searcher sees his keywords (that he searched for) in your ad? This is because Google shows these words in bold.
But you don't know what term this searcher has used. So how can you put the term in the title? Try this.
Put this string in the title field on the Adwords screen -
{KeyWord: Default Title} where you replace "Default Title" with a suitable text. Now Google will show the search term as the ad title if the searched term fits within the 25 character limit and your default title if the search term won't fit.
Example - say you use {KeyWord: Online Dating} as the title and dating as the keyword.
If someone searches for dating help, the shown title will be Dating Help. However if one searches for free online dating resources, Google will show Online Dating because the search term won't fit in the title space (25 characters).
Did you notice the capitalization? If you use Keyword, then only the first word would be capitalized. If you use keyword, all the letters will be in small case.
This tip alone can boost your CTR by 157% or more.
3) Variable destination URL
Did you know that Google now allows variable destination URLs? Why do you need that? Variable destination URL can help you identify the terms that the searchers are using and you can alter your page content to suit those terms for a much better conversion.
Let's see the syntax to get the search term in the destination URL --
http://www.articlestop10.com/pam.php?kw={keyword}
Here we are sending the searcher to a PHP program (you can use a Perl program also), which then stores the terms in a database for easy analysis. You can plan for yourself how you want to put this information to your advantage.
Frankly this tip does not increase your clickthrough rate directly but once you know what the searches were searching for, when they arrived at your site, you can change your message for a much better response.

AdLogger tracks AdSense clicks in real time and compiles the data for you to review.

Earns Adsense by RSS Feed
Tuesday, May 01, 2007Current version: 1.1 (24 april 2006)
Features:
Multiply your income by 10 ! Become a 6 figure blogger ! No, just kidding :) There are no feature this time, except that you can specify how many feed items (i.e. days) you want to have.
Download:
* rss-adsense.php
(colorized html, copy & paste into a blank file but don’t download it : it’s
colorized html, not code :)
* rss-adsense.txt (right click & save as .php)
Configure:
Edit the script, and modify 4 lines at its beginning to suit your needs. Basically, you have to enter your Adsense login, password, the range of days you want to aggregate and a path to a temporary cookie file you shouldn’t even need to modify.
Upload:
Upload the script to some secret location on your server, or rename it to some secret filename. Why secret ? Just because you don’t want anybody to see how much (or how few) you earn, and also because it is against Adsense Terms of Use to publicly display your Adsense results.
If you add it on a web-based RSS reader (Bloglines for example), be sure to mark it private.
Adsense ClickSafe for Joomla!
Tuesday, May 01, 2007
Google AdSense Module (Clicksafe) - special edition Google Adsense module for Joomla. UPDATE: Now version 2.1.
Better css support, due to issues raised by users.
Make it completely XHTML compliant.
Removed all deafult ID and alternate ads. Earlier, users had an option to change from the author's default alternate ads. Now, there is no default ad, users have to put in their own urls.
This version of the popular Google AdSense Module has been rebuilt from the core. Added option to block certain IP numbers!
New features:
* ADVANCED FEATURE:
Option to block certain IP numbers from seeing Google Ads. Now you can block those "unsafe" clicks that could potentially disable you from Google AdSense! We suggest that you insert your own AdSense ID there, to block your own accidental clicks. Suggested for advanced users only.
More details about IP numbers & IP blocking will be posted at the Joomlaspan Forum.
Code generated is absolutely compatible with Google AdSense TOS.
Now you can take real control of the ad alignment (left, right, center).
No need to type in the ad sizes again separately. This is "automagically" derived from your ad format choice! No more hassles!! (Problem highlighted by madmumbler in this thread)
Chameleon codes with new descriptions included
Codes generated are now XHTML 1.0 Transitional compliant (Thanks to the suggestion by romit) If you want to add many instances of this module at various positions, just follow the reply to the query in this post at our forums :)
